Few months ago I have shared a guide root redmi 2 (With PC), Now we are sharing How you can root your Redmi 2 without A PC.

How to Root Redmi 2 (without PC)

We are using the Native root method, in this you just need to install the ROOT Zip file and flash it using Updater App. (links below)

Devie supported Redmi 2 - 2014818 and 2014811 / Global variants.

Download required for rooting redmi 2 (without PC)





1. Download Redmi 2 root Flashable zip - RedMi2_ROOTEnable (.zip) / Mirror download

(optional) You can also rename this file to update.zip for ease.

Follow these Steps to ROOT REDMI 2

Step 1. Download the zip File on your phone and Place them anywhere, where you can find them easily.

Step 2. Now Open UPDATER APP in your Redmi 2. In right Corner tap on Three Dots And it will open a menu like below image.




Step 3. select "Choose Update Package" and locate your downloaded update.zip File. Tap on the file, now your phone will restart automatically.

Step 4. Again open Updater app and locate "RedMi2_ROOTEnablezip" File phone will restart automatically.

"Your phone is rooted now. Now you just have to Allow the app to use Root permission from 'Security' App on your Redmi 2."

Step 5. Go to Security App > Permission - Root access and allow apps to use root.

Step 5. (optional.) For ease, So can also install SuperSu to Allow app's to use Root privilege.



Even this guide is very accurate, but if you are having problem, you can root redmi 2 using PC

How to restore, Stock Mi recovery in Xiaomi Redmi 2 

Note - You do not need this Step if you rooted your redmi using above step. It's for those who rooted redmi by Installing CWM.
